Share your passion for aerospace education and help inspire the next generation of rocket scientists. Whether you have professional engineering experience, a background in education, or simply love building and flying rockets, there is a meaningful way for you to contribute.

Our volunteers come from all backgrounds and experience levels. Some are aerospace engineers who want to share their expertise. Others are college students studying physics or education who want hands-on mentoring experience. What unites everyone is a commitment to making quality aerospace education accessible to students who might not otherwise have the opportunity.

Content Creation

Help write lessons, quizzes, and educational materials covering rocket propulsion, aerodynamics, orbital mechanics, and model rocket safety. Contributors work with our curriculum team to ensure technical accuracy and age-appropriate explanations.

Workshop Instruction

Lead or assist in hands-on model rocket building workshops for students of all experience levels. Workshop instructors guide learners through kit assembly, motor selection, recovery system setup, and safe launch procedures at local fields and school events.

Technical Development

Contribute to our open-source platform by building interactive flight simulators, improving lesson visualizations, and developing new tools that help students explore concepts like thrust curves, drag profiles, and staging calculations.

Community Outreach

Help connect Max Apogee with schools, after-school programs, STEM organizations, and rocketry clubs. Outreach volunteers coordinate launch events, represent the program at education conferences, and help onboard new student teams.
